Attractive, simple, and functional, the Mälmo is constructed from cast aluminium and finished with an elegant beechwood handle and knob, adding warmth and genuine character to the classic two-part stovetop design. It's suitable for use on both gas and electric hobs, making it a flexible fit for most kitchens. An easy-pour, drip-free spout keeps serving clean and controlled, while the contemporary, functional design ensures it looks just as considered sitting on the stovetop as it does brewing.
Using the Mälmo is refreshingly straightforward — fill the lower chamber with fresh, cold water, insert the filter funnel with medium ground coffee (no tamping needed), then screw the sections firmly together and heat on medium to high. As steam builds, it forces hot water up through the grounds, filling the upper chamber with freshly brewed espresso in just minutes. A quick stir before pouring helps equalise the coffee layers for optimum flavour in every cup.
With a 300ml capacity brewing 6 cups and standing 20cm tall, the Mälmo is genuinely well suited to households or entertaining a few guests over coffee. All components separate easily for thorough hand washing, helping keep the maker performing and looking its best for years of everyday brewing.

Additional Information
How to Use:
1. Separate espresso maker components and fill the lower chamber with cold fresh water, ensuring that the level remains below the pressure release valve. (For optimum results never use re-boiled or stale water.)
2. Insert the filter funnel back in the lower chamber and add medium ground coffee (do not tamp).
3. Firmly screw the upper and lower sections back together.
4. Place the espresso maker on stove and heat on medium to high setting. For gas stovetop, make sure the flame is not larger than base of the maker as the flame should not come around the sides
5. Eventually, steam is produced which forces the hot water to rise up through the coffee grounds, filling the upper chamber with freshly brewed espresso.
6. In a matter of minutes, the brewing process is concluded and the coffee is ready to serve.
7. Before pouring coffee, stir it in the upper chamber with a small spoon to equalise all the different coffee layers for optimum flavour.
